Alberto Burri: lo Spazio di Materia – tra Europa e U.S.A

Dopo il rilevante successo della mostra Alberto Burri: The Trauma of Painting dell’ottobre 2015 al Solomon R. Guggenheim di New York e della successiva tappa presso il Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen di Düsseldorf, le Celebrazioni del Centenario della nascita del grande artista italiano si concluderanno con un nuovo straordinario appuntamento espositivo a Città di Castello, suo luogo natale.
Presso gli Ex Seccatoi Tabacco, una delle incredibili sedi della Fondazione Burri, saranno esposte accanto alle opere del maestro umbro, capolavori degli artisti fra i più innovativi del Dopoguerra. Opere di Pollock, Dubuffet, Pistoletto, Fontana, Mirò, Afro, Manzoni, Kounellis.
La curatela di Bruno Corà, presidente della Collezione Burri, ha selezionato capolavori dei maggiori rappresentanti dell’arte del XX e XXI secolo, al fianco di un repertorio fotografico e documentario del periodo storico che va dal 1947 al 1989, che illustra l’evoluzione delle varie correnti artistiche.
La curatela di Bruno Corà, presidente della Collezione Burri, ha selezionato capolavori dei maggiori rappresentanti dell’arte del XX e XXI secolo, al fianco di un repertorio fotografico e documentario del periodo storico che va dal 1947 al 1989, che illustra l’evoluzione delle varie correnti artistiche.

After the extraordinary success of the exhibition Alberto Burri: The Trauma of Painting of ‘October 2015 at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the next stop at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, the Celebration of the Centenary of the birth of the great Italian artist conclude with a significant new exhibition event in Citta di Castello, his birthplace.
At the Ex Seccatoi Tobacco, one of the amazing locations of the Burri Foundation, they will be showcased alongside the works of the Umbrian master, masterpieces of the most innovative artists of the postwar period. Pollock, Dubuffet, Pistoletto, Fontana, Miró, Afro, Manzoni, Kounellis.
